Charitable Cheerleading
Each time CHEER San Francisco performs at an event, we take along our Spirit Buckets to accept the generous donations from spectators who are thrilled and inspired by our performances. The spirit buckets help to fill our CHEER FOR LIFE Fund which supports organizations that provide services to people facing life-threatening challenges including HIV/AIDS and cancer. A pre-selected qualifying organization at each major performance, including at our out-of-town performances, then receives a check.
CHEER San Francisco is committed to keeping the doors open at organizations who work so hard on the front lines of these epidemics, providing excellent services and care to so many people in need.

Mission History
CHEER San Francisco has always taken great pride in our philanthropic mission and service to the community. What started out as a five-person performance group supporting local fundraisers has grown into a powerhouse squad of 50 performers and production coordinators engagedin direct fundraising activities. The CHEER FOR LIFE Fund was established to formalize what the squad had been doing since inception: To execute extreme stunts and powerful dance routines as a means to entertain, inspire and motivate audiences to strive for personal excellence while celebrating the beauty and unity of diverse people.
How you can help
There are many events where CHEER San Francisco is invited to perform but is not permitted to collect donations for the CHEER FOR LIFE Fund. By becoming a sponsor, or by donating now, your tax-deductible contribution enables CHEER San Francisco to continue to accept these invitations while maintaining our focus on achieving our annual fundraising goals.

Our organization builds and strengthens the community, providing a safe and welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ individuals and Allies and financial support for LGBTQ+ aligned nonprofit service providers.
