Reports to: CHEER SF Operations Director
Term: 2 years in role; eligible to renew terms

Organization Profile

Since 1980 CHEER San Francisco has worked to entertain, inspire and activate audiences while improving the lives of
people living with life-challenging conditions in the LGBTQ+ community and beyond. As the world’s first LGBTQ-identified
cheerleading team—and the Official Cheer Team of the City and County of San Francisco—CHEER San Francisco is an
adult, all-volunteer team that performs as a means of raising spirits, awareness and funds in support of local charities
while building a collaborative and inclusive community.

Position Overview

Detail-oriented and fiscally-minded, the Business Manager is responsible for general bookkeeping and day-to-day
financial tracking for CHEER SF. Working with the CSF Events team, the Business Manager manages client invoicing, event
donations, and general deposits—as well as any necessary reimbursements. Together with the CSF Operations Director, they ensure program accounting properly reflects the team’s activities and manage accounts against approved program budgets.

Beyond day-to-day financial operations the Business Manager continually identifies ways the organization can optimize
fundraising efforts, driving volunteer engagement in employee giving programs and seeking other opportunistic funding
sources. They are equally eagle-eyed in finding cost-savings opportunities for ongoing program expenses, ultimately
working to maximize the program’s
bottom line and community impact.

The Business Manager role is a volunteer position and reports to the CHEER SF Operations Director.
