Performing members will thrill crowds with our stunning choreography and fabulous stunt routines. Prior cheerleading, dance, gymnastics or performance experience is helpful, but in no way required. CHEER San Francisco consistently grows in quality and level of difficulty as a direct result of hard work and our wonderful artistic team. Safety and the comfort level of all performers is a priority, and there is a place in our routines for everyone. The most important qualities you should possess are a willingness to learn, ability to make a commitment and a fantastic three-fingered smile that is ready to be shared with millions of adoring fans.
CHEER San Francisco holds official auditions each year. Workshops are held prior to the auditions where you will be taught some basics of Cheerleading including motions and elementary stunts. A short dance routine is also learned during workshops and performed for the artistic team during the tryouts. Each participant is given the CHEER SF Handbook, which outlines the expectations of being a performing volunteer. A short interview is the final part of the audition process. The schedule of pre-tryout workshops and tryouts are available on the Upcoming Events page.
CHEER San Francisco also accepts new performing volunteers throughout the year on a case-by-case basis for those that missed out on the official auditions in July. Interested individuals are encouraged to arrange an evening to observe one of our practices.
